Popular Tours – part 2
There is even more to discover in Vienna, for example on a city tour or in one of the city’s world-famous museums. I am also happy to offer district, architectural or guided tours on specific topics. Just choose a tour or let me know your wish for a theme. I will also gladly take care of the tickets to avoid waiting times!
Selected tours
Panoramic City Tour
We start with the Ringstrasse and its magnificent buildings. See the world-famous Vienna State Opera, the former imperial residence, Parliament, City Hall and the Burgtheater.
Passing impressive palaces and the Karlskirche, we go to the historical summer residence of Prince Eugene, the Belvedere Palace and/or the popular Hundertwasser House. Passing the Prater with the Giant Ferris Wheel, the tour continues to the Danube where the Vienna International Center is located.
With pleasure also with a stop at the Danube Tower or an extension of the trip to the Kahlenberg. During the trip you will learn interesting facts about the inhabitants once and now, their traditions and habits.
District Tours
Vienna’s city center is not the only place of interest. Since the city was bursting at the seams, especially in the 19th century, citizens and aristocrats also settled outside the former city walls (at the site of today’s Ringstraße).
Historic buildings, baroque palaces, art nouveau villas and modern architecture, together with the history of the inhabitants, characterize the image of each of the 23 districts of Vienna.
Selected Museum Tours
Museum of Military History
Are you interested in Austrian history of the Habsburg monarchy, from the 16th century to the end of the monarchy in 1918? The museum presents a comprehensive view of technology, natural science, war history, art and architecture.
The museum building itself is located directly in the heart of the Arsenal, an architectural masterpiece consisting of 31 brick buildings.
Thanks to the unique objects in its extensive collection, the HGM is one of the world’s most important military history museums.
Leopold Museum
The Leopold Collection in the MuseumsQuartier is one of the most important modern Austrian art collections with masterpieces of the Viennese Secession, Viennese Modernism and Austrian Expressionism.
At the same time, the museum presents the world’s largest Egon Schiele collection and masterpieces by Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Richard Gerstl and fin de siecle decorative arts by Otto Wagner, Adolf Loos, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser.
A guided tour offers a combination of the highlights of the collection with a current temporary exhibition!
MAK – Museum of Applied Arts
Founded in 1863 under Emperor Franz Joseph I, the MAK is one of the most magnificent buildings on Vienna’s Ringstrasse. Its collection of over 1 million objects and printed works spanning five centuries makes it one of the most important of its kind.
Masterpieces of the Wiener Werkstätte, applied arts and design can be experienced here, as well as regular temporary exhibitions from the fields of art and design with a special focus on architecture and contemporary art.
Other popular museum tours:
- Imperial Treasury – Hofburg
- Imperial Apartments / Sisi Museum / Silver Collection – Hofburg

Gardens along Ringstrasse
The parks on Vienna’s Ringstrasse look back on a history of around 200 years. The Volksgarten with the Theseus Temple and the monument to Empress Elisabeth is a feast for the eyes, especially in spring when the roses are in bloom.
The Burggarten – former imperial private garden – is particularly appreciated by the Viennese as a hot spot, not least because of the beautiful palm house.
The largest park along the Ring, however, is the Stadtpark. It is dedicated to artists and musicians. The Kursalon at the edge of the park was once the workplace of the waltz king Johann Strauss.
Quality is my highest priority and therefore the tours always take place target group oriented and in a relaxed atmosphere! I am accredited as a tour guide at all the museums mentioned.
I am looking forward to meeting you!
