Popular Tours – part 1

There is a lot to discover in Vienna, from imperial Vienna to St. Stephen’s Cathedral to the many insider spots. The nice thing about it: most of the time the sights can be reached comfortably by foot. Just choose a tour and indicate your wish for the appropriate guided tour. I will also gladly take care of the tickets to avoid waiting times!

The Tours

St. Stephen’s Cathedral

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is not only the geographical but also the spiritual centre of Vienna. On our tour around the cathedral you will learn about the 400-year history of its construction among other things, then we will visit the interior of St. Stephen’s Cathedral with all the Gothic masterpieces such as the Wiener Neustädter winged altar, Pilgram pulpit, Frederick’s tomb and the statues of saints on the pillars (entrance fee exclusive).

Imperial Vienna

On this walk we explore Vienna’s city centre with a focus on the former imperial residence, the Hofburg. The route continues along the Graben with the Baroque Plague Column to the centre of Vienna to the Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We start at the famous State Opera House directly on the Ringstraße.

Hidden Vienna

We explore the winding paths through the oldest areas of Vienna: from the Roman camp to the Greek quarter with its medieval flair to the old university quarter, Blutgasse, past Baroque palaces, churches and pavlish courts in the footsteps of famous Viennese like Mozart, Brahms and Dear Augustin. If you are interested, we can visit the imperial crypt after a short stop at a traditional coffee house.

Schönbrunn Palace

Forty state rooms provide an insight into the daily life of the regents: each of these rooms on the „Gand Tour“ has stories to tell about historical events, the lifestyle, atmosphere and world view of the imperial era. Afterwards we will explore the highlights of the palace park (entrance fee not included).

Vienna Central Cemetery

The cemetery with more than 3 million buried is also the one with the largest number of graves of celebrities: Musicians, actors, painters, architects and sculptors are buried here alongside federal presidents and mayors. The Art Nouveau Church of St. Charles Borromeo is also particularly impressive.

Belvedere

Prince Eugene of Savoy, the brilliant Field marshal and art lover, had built the Garden Palace as his summer residence. Today, the baroque Gesamtkunstwerk houses Austrian art from the Middle Ages to the present. Highlights of the collection are the paintings by Gustav Klimt with his golden paintings „The Kiss“ and „Judith“. We see masterpieces by Egon Schiele, Oskar Kokoschka, a comprehensive collection of Biedermeier paintings and masterpieces by international painters (entrance fee exclusive).

Red Vienna

Experience iconic examples of the Viennese building and housing programmes of the 20th century until today in the 5th district. A must-see for all architecture and politics enthusiasts in the former No-go area of the workers, we start at the Bruno-Kreisky-Park.

Quality is my highest priority and therefore the tours always take place target group oriented and in a relaxed atmosphere! I am accredited as a tour guide at all the museums mentioned.

I am looking forward to meeting you!
