His rewritings of Greek tragedies, stories and essays, as well as his comedy plays, are among the most valuable contributions to Austrian poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The painter Hermine Aichenegg, who died in 2007, is considered an unjustly forgotten representative of Viennese modernism in the upheaval of post-war Vienna in the 1950s.
