As early as the 12th century, St. Peter’s Abbey in Salzburg<\/strong> took over control of what is today part of the district of Hernals. They laid the foundations for its development into a suburb and popular excursion destination with its estate and church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, the summer resort and wine<\/strong> became the driving force and even led to the terminus of Vienna’s first tramway<\/strong> in 1865, still pulled by horses. Stroll with me past illustrious places where the up-and-coming Schrammeln<\/strong> entertained the heir to the throne, Rudolf,<\/strong> along with his personal fianc\u00e9, Bratfisch<\/strong>, and not far away we will find probably the sweetest corner of Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a look<\/strong> behind the facades with me and let\u2019s experience the eventful history of the city and its fascinating protagonists together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will start<\/strong> by exploring the area around the former \u201cMorawek\u201d terminus and follow the footsteps of the „Sandler“ located there and the fierce competition among the first \u201cWiener Linien\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development of the Alszeile<\/strong> and the first vineyards pave the way to today’s estate with church and the associated eventful history of Dornbach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passing legendary pubs <\/strong>and stories about the Schrammeln, we reach historic villas of famous residents and take a brief look at the former Villa Atari in Neuwaldegg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way back<\/strong>, we pass the castle of the same name, take a look at the baths and discover more villas and historic restaurants. The „Zauberpark“ will make you want to take a break. After a short detour to the B\u00e4renvilla, the villa was built by the arch. of the Viennese City Halll, we finally search for Friedensreich Hunterwasser’s first steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After around 2.5 hours<\/strong> our tour ends and the Pfarrheurige or other nearby pubs invite us to take a well-earned break!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality<\/strong> is my highest priority and therefore the tours always take place target group oriented and in a relaxed atmosphere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
