Museum of Military History<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you interested in Austrian history of the Habsburg monarchy, from the 16th century to the end of the monarchy in 1918? The museum presents a comprehensive view of technology, natural science, war history, art and architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum building itself is located directly in the heart of the Arsenal, an architectural masterpiece consisting of 31 brick buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the unique objects in its extensive collection, the HGM is one of the world’s most important military history museums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leopold Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leopold Collection in the MuseumsQuartier is one of the most important modern Austrian art collections with masterpieces of the Viennese Secession, Viennese Modernism and Austrian Expressionism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the museum presents the world’s largest Egon Schiele collection and masterpieces by Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Richard Gerstl and fin de siecle decorative arts by Otto Wagner, Adolf Loos, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAK – Museum of Applied Arts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1863 under Emperor Franz Joseph I, the MAK is one of the most magnificent buildings on Vienna’s Ringstrasse. Its collection of over 1 million objects and printed works spanning five centuries makes it one of the most important of its kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Masterpieces of the Wiener Werkst\u00e4tte, applied arts and design can be experienced here, as well as regular temporary exhibitions from the fields of art and design with a special focus on architecture and contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
